Mr. Saqib Soomro’s family history:
Mr. Saqib Soomro comes and hails from a family which had a rich long past. When you unravel his family pedigree, one comes across such rich traditional background with attachments that is unforeseen before. His roots are dwelled straight to the Mughals, to the Suris and many more old age rulers. For instance when we looked up in his drawing room we came across things which were dated over a century old, but they are kept preserved as they are bought like a few weeks back. Crisp, clean and still useable items which no one would believe that are over a century old.
Mr. Saqib Soomro and his prized century old possessions:
When we entered in to the lobby of Mr. Saqib Soomro’s grand house, we came across a thing that was delicately placed on the side of his room. When we asked Mr. Saqib Soomro that what it is, he smiled, looked at us, and said that it’s a bag which Bahadur Shah Zafar, the final Mughal emperor used to carry with him. When he inquired Mr. Saqib Ahmed Soomro, that from where he had hold of this bag, he replied that once he went to Goa in India to meet his business partner Mr. Subramanyam Joshi. Mr. Joshi took him along to the museum of Mughals where when Mr. SaqibSoomro entered he was flabbergasted by the rich history it had to offer. There Mr. SaqibSoomro saw this bag, and when inquired upon from the keeper of this bag, he was told that it was 102 years old and the last Mughal emperor, Bahadur Shah Zafar used to carry this bag wherever he went. That intrigued Mr.SaqibSoomro a lot and he bought that bag for a hefty amount of Pakistani ten hundred thousand rupee.
Mr. SaqibSoomro and his century old ornaments:
When we asked Mr. SaqibSoomro to open his closet for us, he smiled, and asked us that why do we want to look into his closet. We replied that we had done some research on him before coming to him, and we had been told that he always got his better half ornaments which were vintage, retro and loved by the people of Greece in the 18th century. By hearing that Mr. SaqibSoomro opened his closet for us. Where we could see the rings that had Babylon language written on them, the necklaces that had the design which dated back to 17th century and some precious century old stones. When we inquired him that why does he keep these collectables like this, he replied us with a smile. That if you have passion about something, no matter how pricy it is you will try to get it.
Mr. Saqib Soomro’s early life
Mr. Saqib Ahmed Soomro was born in a well do to family. His family had every amenity that a layman could ask for. Hailing from the small district of Ghotki in the interior Sindh, he was born at the family of Mr. Rasheed Soomro, who at his time was an eminent landlord of his time. From his child hood days, Mr. Saqib Soomro was really active in the athletic activities. At the age of four his father got Mr. Saqib Soomro an electric band wagon, which he happily drove all over his village. His hospitality could be seen from his early age that he always offered the kids of neighbors and kids from other villages to play with his toys. Even at this tender age Mr. Saqib Soomro never got possessive about his belongings and always looked to share it with the less privileged kids.
Mr. Saqib Soomro in his early teens
As Mr. Saqib Soomro was growing up and stepping up in to his early teens, the grace and class that he had possessed was different from the world and other normal teens of his age. He was always very active, he possessed very philanthropic heart, which would in turn resulted in starting welfare works at the tender age of thirteen only. Mr. Saqib Soomro would often give away his personal prized belongings that he had bought from abroad and had received in the forms of gifts from his well-wishers, relatives and family members. Mr. Saqib Soomro was a friend of friends, he would often throw grand parties at his farmhouses where he and his friends would sit all night long and play cards and dance to the traditional Sindhi folk tunes. Till the age of 15 he had developed the unique capability of taming the wildest of horses, which would in turn lead in to him becoming a champion golf player.
Mr. Saqib Soomro at his early twenties
As we were scrolling through the photo albums Mr. Saqib Soomro showed us, we came across pictures of this handsome young man who had ardent interest in horses as well as guns. When inquired upon, Mr. Saqib Soomro stated that he had loved hunting from his childhood. His father would take him along to the deer, rabbit and different other hunting sprees, where he would try imitating how his father used to hunt. At the age of 21, Mr. Saqib Soomro had become a perfect marksman. He would never miss a shot he would aim for, in fact Mr. Saqib Soomro told us that he also won a local provincial championship of duck and deer hunting which consisted best shooters from all over the Pakistan.
